Who doesn’t love a good BLT? The salty, sweet, crunchy, smokey blend of flavors is perfect just about any time of day. Here is a little vegan twist on an old classic.
This recipe makes two delicious sandwiches, feel free to double for larger portions!
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1T smoked paprika
- 1t garlic powder
- 1t liquid hickory smoke
- 1t olive oil
- 2 large Portobello mushroom caps
Dip into liquid, then spread into a single layer on a greased sheet pan. Tip: line pan with foil for easy clean up.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until desired texture.
Portobello Bacon, Sun Dried Tomato, and Lettuce Sandwich
- 2 Ciabatta Rolls
- Sun dried tomatoes
- Vegan Mayo
- Portobello Bacon
Layer sandwich with each ingredient, to taste. Enjoy!
